This oy-bay site is great! FYI, Holyland restaurant is in Oakland-not Berkeley. Also, sadly, Rafaels closed.

There’s actually a Holy Land both in Berkeley and in Oakland. The Berkeley one is on the corner of College and Ashby.

The Berkeley one is kosher “style,” which is not actually kosher. The Oakland one is actually kosher. The website this brings you to is the Oakland one.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up, Daniel! I thought I recalled there being some confusion about that back when I was a student at Cal.
It was awesome meeting you the other night! Yasher Koakh on your latest masterpiece!

There is a possibility of a restaurant opening in Santa Cruz which will be kosher/mexican/cholov yisroel/fish grill. I am working with the owner on the idea right now. It will be certified kosher by the Vaad Hakashrus of Northern California. I need emails from people who will be willing to come to the restaurant and try it once it’s set up. Please email me at max722@aol.com to show your support. Thanks, Mordechai Feinberg, 831-600-7485
