So if you're a young adult Jew near or in San Francisco, what's around to get involved in? SFYAD, that's what:

YAD — the Young Adults Division of the Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco, the Peninsula, Marin and Sonoma Counties, offers young Jewish singles, couples and new Bay Area residents (ages 21 to 40-something) a broad range of social, educational, volunteer, philanthropic and leadership development opportunities. Our events connect young professionals and empower them to become active participants in our Jewish community. Our 3,000 members come from all backgrounds and lifestyles, bringing a wide range of perspectives and experiences.

And what are they up to? From the J:

Infusing a touch of decadence into Shabbat, the Young Adults Division of the S.F.-based Jewish Community Federation is hosting a wine and chocolate Shabbat potluck on Friday, June 23 at 7 p.m.

The event costs $10 and will be held at a private home in San Francisco. Guests should bring a bottle of wine or a chocolate dish.

RSVP to (415) 512-6280 for location and more information.
