Happy Thanksgiving from Oy Bay

A few things:
- In case you thought you were living in sin, turkey is kosher!
- Leading Rabbis deem Thanksgiving to be a ‘kosher’ holiday, as long as you don’t ritualize it or make it mandatory.
- I attended the “Turkey Bowl” again this year. This is where the alumni and current members of two South Bay AZA chapters come and play a game of football Thanksgiving Day morning (pictures coming soon!).
Second only to the US,Israel is the largest (per-capita?)consumer of turkey meat in the world. “According to the National Turkey Federation, Israel leads the world in turkey consumption. At a whopping 26.9 pounds per capita in 1996, Israelis consumed about 45% more than Americas, who are the world’s number two consumers.” That’s a lot of shwarma!
Happy Thanksgiving, from all of us at Oy Bay. 🙂
