Do the Dij

Posted by Oyster on January 8, 2007

After a delicious Bedouin meal on mats on the ground, we were treated to a world music show by two well-travelled Israeli entertainers. Oh, and I ran into Shira & Jill, two friends of mine! They played instruments from around the world, such as a UFO-shaped steel drum from Switzerland, Brazilian drums, and the dijeri-doo. Also, Yael, our awesome Israel tour guide, was invited up to perform some capoeira! But she was one-upped by Shira, who it turns out has been practicing it for almost two years. And it shows: don’t mess with this bad-ass dance-fighting Jewess! Then I went to sleep. 3 AM wake-up for Masada!
