Oy Bay!

No, I will not make out with you!

… I come to MySpace to network socially, not to “make out”.

Princess Victoria Russkie

I’m really confused by this, some random borderline-erotic model tries to add me as a friend on MySpace. So my first reaction is, “oh great, another wannabe musician / model / comedian / porn star wants me to be their ‘friend’ so that they can get more business”. But as I’m checking to see who’s trying to add me as a friend, I notice that this broad is playing the song “Mima’amakim” (no not the blog) by the Idan Raichel Project, a popular Israeli band (that J-Lifer got me hooked on).

So what’s the story? Is the Idan Raichel Project just so popular that people are hip to it in the US? Is the broad really Jewish and/or Israeli? Or just a random coincidence? Could someone else check out her profile and see if that song plays for you? Weirdness…

But while you’re pondering this most quizzical of happenings, add Oy Bay as a friend on MySpace! 🙂
