Hang in the Hut, Shake It, and Film Festival with CBDYAG

With sukkot beginning tonight, CBDYAG (Congregation Beth David Young Adult Group) is shakin’ more then lulav and etrogs. We encourage anyone who can to check Simchat Torah morning services at Beth David, we’re we unroll a whole torah scroll from one end of the room to the other, and get our torah groove on. The Torah we unroll is the community Holocaust Torah. Check out Sukkot services and Simchat Torah at CBD.
Special for Young Adults, CBDYAG’s having dinner under the stars as we hang in Rabbi Schonbrun’s (a young adult too) Sukkah, Monday, October 1st at 7pm. We’ve had a blast the past two years, so we’re going back. The picture is from Hanging in the Hut a year ago. Feel free to bring friends!! CBDYAG has teamed up with SVYAD for their Annual Toy Drive benefiting Jewish Family Services. Bring a new toy in it’s original packaging to any CBDYAG event (like Hanging in the Hut) or SVYAD Connect ($2 off admission). You can also drop off toys to the lobby of Congregation Beth David or the Levy Family Campus. Then join both groups for a wrapping party on Nov. 28.
CBDYAG invites all Jewish 20 and 30 somethings to venture to the San Jose Jewish Film Festival on October 21, to see “Aviva My Love,” an award winning Israeli Film. Head over to their blog for all the details, but RSVP soon, to ensure a ticket.
Young Adult Shir Shabbat returns October 26, 8pm at Congregation Beth David. Join with the congregation for a lively Kabbalat Shabbat service followed by a Young Adult oneg in Classroom 3. Shir Shabbat is an upbeat and joyous Friday evening service welcoming in Shabbat, complete with Carlebachi melodies, dancing, and instruments. After the service, young adults will be enjoying a separate kiddush to get a chance to unwind and celebrate Shabbat. RSVP appreciated to cbdyag[at]gmail.com

We’ve all done the ice breaker where you share your favorite ice cream, well now you can RSVP with your favorite ice cream, and join fellow Jewish 20 and 30 somethings to indulge in ice cream with all the fixings.
