RIP, “South Bay Boyfriends Who Schlep to SF for Their Girlfriends Support Group”

Posted by Oyster on April 15, 2008

The South Bay Boyfriends Who Schlep to SF for Their Girlfriends Support Group, or SBBFWSTSFFTGSG as it was affectionately called by its proud members, was senselessly and brutally deleted by its creator on Facebook this afternoon. This act of capitulation to their fog enshrouded significant others of the feminine persuasion has not gone unnoticed. This group filled a great need. Members truly came to see the other men in that group as an iron-clad brotherhood that stood by one another as they commiserated on the uber-schleppage that took place to see their gf’s up in da City. They laughed, cried, and shared transportation & traffic tidbits. To the ‘timid’ south bay male, who is but a ‘shell’ of his former self, who also is one of the main conspirators behind the Jew’s Next Dor [sic], I turn my back on you in disgust.

In all seriousness, this is a common phenomena. The south bay has a slight gender imbalance in favor of men, and SF has a slight gender imbalance in favor of women. It’s only natural that we’re seeing a lot of SF women paired with south bay men. In fact, I think such latitudinally-diverse relationships should be encouraged.

I have no idea how you guys do it. I’m almost too lazy to go see *my* boyfriend – and he lives with me.
