Michael Schapira, the youngest child of Morey and Barbara Schapira of Los Altos, was interviewed for the Jerusalem Posts‘ “Cafe Oleh” (pun on the Hebrew word ‘oleh’, which means a recent immigrant). Yes, that’s the same Morey Schapira that spear-headed the fight for Russian Refuseniks.

It’s a very interesting read, about how an American kid can determine that his fate lies in another country, and sets off towards that future. One that many of us from the Bay Area have done, or wonder what if we did…
